KK Trip *2*

Day2 Day2… Padas White Water Rafting!!

Pick up time is 730am.. so most of us had set 630am alarm.. who knows, itu ZK, kia su~, set 6am!!! Then whole room woke up liao… forgot who 1st.. definitely not me… The sky is very bright outside…ya 6am only, very bright…walao… easily to develop early sleep, early wake up life style.. since nite life quite boring…’quite’….!!!

The kids (high skol one I think) who also rented dorms here woke up very early too, a lot of ppl queued for the washroom.. Same condition while we when to Lobby.. whole bunch of ppl lined-up for the breakfast.. the breakfast is included in the package, we can have 2 slices of toast with butter/jam, fruits and free-flow of coffee/tea..

Their ah sir took good care on their discipline.. they cleaned the table and washed dishes after eating.. so, due to the good manner, we have to lined-up for that as well.. although we didn’t wash them, hahaha… Then, we off to Beaufort with a cool botak guide.. look like The Rock, serious!!.. ahahhahaaaa…

Arrived at Beaufort Train Station 20mins earlier.. Fen, Sophia, ST n Zk went to grab 'something’ (i forgot liao... water?food?..) from town nearby.. it’s too hot, so I rather sit at waiting area.. while CM n apak busy keng-gai with guai-lou… the 1st train was so full, "The Rock" advised us to take 2nd train.. and we did..

Departed around 1030am.. 30mins late.. we sat in the 60’s/70’s HK style old train and ‘enjoy’ the hot air inside.. this train very baa-pai one.. it’s call The North Borneo Railway.. it’s features a Mid-Centry British “Vulcan” Steam Engine, the last of a fleet of locomotives that have plied the tracks through Borneo since the 1900s…

We stored our belongings in locker at the rafting ending point, Rayoh Train Station.. and continued we heading towards starting point, the Pangi station.. guess what?! The train went off the rails!!! Too bad that our cameras all in the locker!!! Poor us, we got down from the train and walked towards the destination.. After about 1km walk, another train came in rescue.. then we back on train again..

A short briefing regarding the ways to use the paddle n safety precaution was given… we separated into 2groups, all girls with Zk, Apak n KE.. CM n Mic followed The Rock and joined their new friends from HK n UK.. Since our rafting trip was delayed, The Rock said we missed the chance of taking the photos while rafting.. :(:(:(

The weather was good, the water was brownie and fast.. with life vest on n slippers off.. we started our adventure around 3pm.. ya, I used a lot of “around” coz really not sure about the time.. Apak, HH n KE were at the 1st row, Zk, Fen n I at the middle row, Sophia n ST at last row.. the 2 guides were guarded at the back.. fen n HH as middle person of each row grabbed our life vest while we all paddling, be our guardian angel~

At the beginning, the wave is nothing!! we just kept going forward.. until we reached a quiet ‘pond’.. the guide said it’s call “swimming pool”.. then he jumped in with free-style.. so, with no hesitate, we followed.. woo~woo~.. the water is SO COLD!!! The tiny fen who dunno swim also jump into water, hahahha…

After a while, we were helped by guide and got back on boat.. I was the last one and while I got in, directly we faced the big waves!!! Phew~… so, we faster paddle according to the guide’s commands.. “Forward! Forward!”.. but our team were so lack of ‘mo-qi’.. the “1,2.. 1,2..” was lousy and our boat kept turning side-way.. hahahhaa…

Actually, how hard we tried to paddle, it’s useless one.. the guide paddle 1 time can turn the boat on track… wahahahaa… we like paddle for fun~ ;p;p;p.. we passed the dangerous area again and again.. until we arrived the middle of the trip, one of the boat turned over.. As we were too far to help.. boats beside it went near to ‘fish’ those victims..

Although we had most girls on boat among all boats, we were the 1st boat to arrived resting point!! Yoo-hoooo~~ after all boats gathered, we continued the adventure… we met the washing-machine spin~ the snake wave~ and many more I cant recall the name.. this rafting route is rated as level 3-4 for rafting (over level4; the most dangerous)..

Now, we had more ‘mo-qi’ already.. kept shouting “1,2.. 1,2..”.. suddenly, the biggest wave in this century hit our boat!!!!! “wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh”.. everyone shouted and suddenly I found that I was at the Fen’s place.. and inner elbow was cross with Fen’s inner knee (well, I dunno what these parts call, guess u all can understand what I mean..)..”oh no!” I faster dragged her back to her position and got back mine too.. and I really have no idea what had happened!!..

“Sophia felt into water!!!”.. after a while, I heard this.. walao, started to panic.. coz is the most dangerous area, and we really want to safe her… but how???

“continue forward, I will safe her!” said the guide steadily n the he jumped towards her direction while another guide leading us on boat.. so we followed his command and kept on paddle the boat.. Like a very easy job, the guide drag Sophia back on boat immediately, cool~!! It’s kan-cheong but fun.. hahaha.. we shouted our victory "yea~!!" by hitting all our paddles together.. but "aiyak!" alwiz the guide like to hit fen's head.. think he likes her "aiyak!!" very much.. hahaha

Cut-in:
We mentioned bout this after the game..
The 1st phrase while Sophia got back to boat “I thought KE wanna safe me and he also drop into water edi!!”.. walaoe~~ Sophia Lee, that guy wanna safe you one is ur honey Zk la!!! If KE also drop into water, meant that our boat already up-side-down!!! (p/s: KE was at the position most far from Sophia!!)
Then, as I told Sophia n all, if really cant control n drop into water, just let go ur hand, dun let the wave twist you and this might sprain ur hand.. so I think Sophia can be considered ‘half drop, half jump into water herself’.. akakkakaa…
Also, as I told fen, no matter how, you also must grab our life vest tightly.. so while Zk wanna go safe his honey, Fen grabbed his life vest so so tight, then Zk was in the position of ‘one leg in boat, one leg in water’.. hahahaha

We completed the game in 1hr, not very long but still exhausted.. especially hand & arm.. kinda ‘sour’ ;p;p;p.. can felt it’s shaking while changing clothes and holding plates (buffet lunch).. we took pic with full equipment on by ST’s camera.. ‘rafting on grass’.. hahaha…

Acted very fast, we changed and had lunch in only 15mins, then we needed to catch the train and descent to Beaufort Train Station… The buffet was so-so.. but since everyone was hungry, it’s considered gift-from-heaven.. hahahaha… got BBQ chicken wing, rice, fried mee, mixed-vege, sausages, watermelon, canned drink… and.. I cant remember liao..

On the way back to BTS (not Berjaya time square la..), the train was so so so crowded.. the journey took very long to arrived as this train actually functioned as ‘bus’ for the local ppl too.. it stopped at every stop just like LRT… a HK guy even scolded rude word coz lost of patient.. cant blame him, really very hot inside n the train moved super slow…

Fen, sophia, ST and I only found place to sit after.. 45mins?1hr?.. not sure.. zong-ji very long la… I straight felt asleep once I got a seat while they busy discussing the incident of “Sophia dropped into water”.. haha.. tired neh… zzzZZZZzzzzz

Finally, eventually, lastly… we arrived the BTS.. but The Rock informed us that our van broke down!!! Ishhh… at last, he/his company paid taxi for us to go back TrekkersLodge.. I dun really care as long as I can go back.. too tired to think liao... just felt sleepy + hungry.. haha…

If not mistaken, it’s nearly 2hrs journey to get back to KK town.. cant wait CM to finish his bathe, fen n I left Apak n CM waited for him, and we went to the seafood restaurant 1st.. we have no idea which restaurant is the one ppl meant cheap and nice.. so simply chose one.. we went to PortView Seafood Restaurant..

We ordered crab, local vege, some shell thingy, prawns, ostrich meat… the crab was tiny but fresh.. the vege was munchy.. the ‘象鼻蚌’ in slices was great too.. prawns just so-so but fresh, bit overcooked.. and, the best was ostrich meat!!! It’s not like we alwiz eat, thick n hard.. it’s well cooked, soft and served with tasty source.. :D:D:D

Like that, day2 ended.. we packed our luggage, one for hiking, one for hiring porter to carry to Laban Rata resthouse, and the rest will be stored at lobby~… then off light!! zzZzZZzzz

** heard from a fren, even they took rafting pic for us also we wont buy it coz it costs RM100+ per pcs.. walao!!!
