KK Trip *1*

Guess most of you also knew that I just came back from Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. It’s a great experience and I think all of you should try at least once in life time… ahlik sprained her leg, pity have to give up the trip.. lik, u can go next time with roti n fanny~…

It’s a 5days 4nitez backpack trip..

Day 1..
Met up with Kok Ee n Huey Hun at Pg airport.. and we flew to LCCT.. it’s my 1st time to aboard with Air Asia.. As it’s a low cost flight, passenger needs to purchase food on board… and no outside food is allowed.. the Maggie in cup is selling at RM6.. sandwiches also cost RM5… less smile found on cabin crews’ faces.. but the seat was ok… so, as long as can send me to destination safely, I cant expect more la..

Discovered one useful info, the sky bus service:
KL sentral -> LCCT
330am – 10pm; every 30mins
LCCT -> KL sentral
7am, 8am – 1.15am; every 30mins
Buy on-board then RM9… purchase at LCCT (arrival hall) only RM8.. KL sentral I dunno…

Then, met SiewFen, Sophia, ZanKai, CharSen(Apak), CheeKhim (Michael) n CheeMeng at LCCT and i decided to buy the muffin from Coffee Bean and eat in plane, hahaha…. Talked talked talked…2hrs+ gone and we arrived at KK airport.. Met up with Siang Theen then we took 15mins taxi (coz a lot traffic light on the way) @ RM20/cab then we arrived TrekkersLodge!! No bad la the environment for Malaysia standard.. haha..lose Taipei hostel a little bit…

All dorm is available at level 4 only…so we started to warm up for our climb on Day3.. After unloaded, we were super hungry and ‘ran’ to foodcourt at Wisma Merdeka (shopping complex just opposite) to heal our stomach 1st… ya FOOD COURT, coz at 3pm, nothing we cant find here…too late for lunch, n too early for dinner… Fen and I shared the big plate ikan masin fried rice + herbal soup at RM9.45 (if not mistaken; one plate fried rice also rm5-6 liao).. kinda high living cost ;p;p;p

Then, went to Watson got some energy bar for Day3 use and left Wisma Merdeka.. Since there was some rain outside, we cancelled our plan to go Pulau Sapi.. another reason is all islands closed at 5-6pm as Sabah at the East of Malaysia, the sky go dark around one hour ahead compare to Penang/KL (west coast).. So, we went for town tour, used the map we grabbed from Airport and walked ourselves..

Wat a map??!! Show the town SO SO big!!! Mind you, the town is very small only!!!! All walking distance.. the map tipu saja…shocked us while we see the Filipino Market is so far away, who knows, only 10-15mins walk… super near!!! But, one thing, if I didn’t see the sea with my own eyes, I wont believe the town just at seaside, NO WIND ONE!! Sunny + rain + no wind = KOOK!!!

We snap photos at the jetty.. walked ‘passed’ the wet market.. then arrived Filipino Handicraft Market.. all busy grabbed souvenirs here.. I wanna clarify that: here really nothing suitable to be souvenir one!! Except key chain…. Ya key chain again.. to me I ok one, I collecting key chain.. but guess some of you might f eel bored “arg, key chain again”.. haha.. pai se.. rili nothing to buy…some just too big, too heavy, too useless…KE n HH bought a lot ‘fish biscuit’.. their family request one.. Sabah’s special..

Dinner time.. we didn’t try the seafood this round because we don’t know which is nice and cheap…all restaurant around, guess might be expensive… so we went for Da-Cao opposite TrekkersLodge.. the lao-ban-niang very lansi…but nvm la, hungry edi.. I was the one who ordered.. coz too many ppl hard to compromise, so I be the ba-dao one, order what I want to eat saja la.. hahaha… got chicken, prawn, soup, 2 types of vege…n I forgot already.. Sabah style Da-Cao, price almost the same as KL, not bad la.. just still beh song the lan-si aunty…

After that, apak, fen n me when to walked around…only 8pm, all shops are closed.. KE n HH joined us halfway, and we continued the journey… again, from map, the night market is far, but, it’s just like STAD walked to end of MPH… tipu saja.. the night market, VERY BAD.. not a big one, still got stalls stalls.. but almost all stalls selling similar goods!! Walao, like that why not u all combine n put 3-5 stalls there enuf??? Waste my ‘leg energy’..

Back to Trekkers, pack for tmr’s outing.. bathe (toilet clean but shower quite low water pressure).. got place to wash and hang clothes.. then zzZzzZZZzzzzzz
